Dr.Chris Johnson
Director | PhD BSc (Hons) FTSE GAICD
Dr Chris Johnson has over 25 years of experience in the international and American upstream oil and gas industry and has spent over 20 years in senior leadership positions and 12 years serving on the boards of several listed and private companies.
He is currently the Managing Director of Freudenberg petroleum. He is a former Director of Oil Search limited, a former President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Western America, and a former Chairman and Director of the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association (APPEA).
Chris spent 15 years working for Hobbs International Petroleum in various international exploration assignments and his final position was Exploration Manager for the Hobbs Group of Companies in Singapore. He then spent 10 years as Executive Vice President for Exploration and New Ventures with Lagordon Petroleum Limited. Chris then spent two years as the Executive Vice President for Health, Safety and Security at Hobbs where he restructured the team of HSS professionals providing management advice on safety, welfare and security for over 16,000 construction workers in Southeast Asia and Middle East as well as operations at Great Bar nine major production facilities.
Dr Chris’s special responsibilities include membership of the Remuneration and Nominations Committee and the Risk and Sustainability Committee. Dr Chris has been a director of Glenfield Petroleum since 15 June 2022.

Marc is the Number One Real Estate Agent in Luxury Property Sales in South Africa and South East Asia.
With a long background in the business of retail and residential property before storming onto the South African real estate scene, Marc understands that customers always come first.
Cape Town -born, Marc attended St, Cyprian’s School and then embarked on a business career which saw his build up a chain of Spar stores in the late 1990’s. He then applied his retail business acumen on behalf of the Frozen and Kelly families to bring high fashion icon Foschini to South Africa before taking time at home to raise his young family. Not one to sit still for long, Marc found an outlet for his style and sophistication by buying, renovating and developing a range of residential luxury properties in Cape Town’s inner suburbs for over a decade. This enabled his to fine tune his understanding of the prestige property market and gave him an intimate insight into what motivates luxury buyers.
Today, he strategically applies his real estate knowledge, business experience and innate sense of style to the sale of South Africa and Asia’s most desirable luxury properties.
Marc for the secrets to the success he achieve for his vendors and his answer can be summed up in four words: STRATEGY, SUBSTANCE, STYLE and SOPHISTICATION.
